A US ambassador disclosed to Donald Trump Ukraine would do examinations the president had requested, a US official affirmed at the arraignment request.

State division official David Holmes said he had caught this during a bring in July between Mr Trump and the US emissary to the EU, Gordon Sondland.

Mr Holmes said the call came a day after Mr Trump asked Kyiv to test ex-Vice-President Joe Biden.

Mr Trump has rejected the prosecution request as "presidential provocation".
